Following Jesus is the greatest decision you can make, and baptism is the next step.
Baptism is a powerful moment where you publicly declare the faith you have already placed in Christ. If you’ve decided to follow Jesus, we would love to celebrate baptism with you.
Fresh Start
Before being baptised, we invite everyone to take part in Fresh Start, the first step in discipleship at hm.church.
Every Sunday, the Fresh Start group meets up at 7:25AM in the veranda.
Fresh Start is a short group designed to help you build strong foundations in your faith. Together we explore what it means to follow Jesus, grow in your relationship with Him, and live out your faith in everyday life.
It’s also a great opportunity to meet others in our church community and ask questions as you begin your journey.

What Is Baptism?
Baptism is an outward confession of an inward decision. This is a step of obedience and celebration for every follower of Jesus.
The Bible teaches that we should be baptised in water, and Jesus himself modelled it for us. When we are baptised, we are showing outwardly what God has already done in our hearts.
Why Should I Be Baptised?
We get baptised because:
Jesus was baptised and set the example for us.
Jesus commands it for those who follow Him.
It publicly declares our faith in Christ.
It celebrates new life in Jesus.
Baptism doesn’t get you to heaven... it announces to your friends you are headed to heaven.
What Happens on Baptism Sunday?
Here’s what to expect on the day:
You’ll briefly share your decision to follow Jesus in our service.
After our second service, a pastor or leader will baptise you in the lake right outside our church.
You will be prayed for and celebrated with our church family on the shore.
