BLUE CARD INFORMATION
If you volunteer in an area of hm.church that requires a Blue Card, please follow the relevant process below.
Blue Card Services is managed by the Queensland Government. Volunteers can apply or renew online.
NEW BLUE CARD APPLICATION
STEP 1 — CHECK YOU HAVE A TMR CUSTOMER REFERENCE NUMBER (CRN)
You will need a Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads Customer Reference Number (CRN) to verify your identity.
Your CRN can normally be found on your Queensland driver licence or another TMR-issued product.

If you do not have a CRN, or your TMR photo needs updating, you may need to visit a TMR Customer Service Centre.
Apply for a Blue Card – Queensland Government
STEP 2 — REGISTER FOR A BLUE CARD ONLINE ACCOUNT
Using your CRN, register for a Blue Card Services online account.
Once your identity has been verified, Blue Card Services will give you an Online Account Number.
Do not complete the volunteer application yet.
As a volunteer, hm.church must first link you to our organisation so that your volunteer application can be completed free of charge.
STEP 3 — EMAIL YOUR DETAILS TO HM.CHURCH

IMPORTANT
For a new volunteer application, hm.church must create the organization link before you can finish (half way through your application) and submit your free volunteer Blue Card application.
STEP 4 — WAIT FOR HM.CHURCH TO LINK YOU
Once we receive your details, an authorised hm.church team member will link your Blue Card online account to hm.church.
Once the link is successfully created, Blue Card Services will send you an SMS or email advising you that you can continue your application.
STEP 5 — COMPLETE YOUR BLUE CARD APPLICATION
Follow the link in the Blue Card Services SMS/email or return to the online applicant portal.
Complete the declarations and submit your application.
Your volunteer application is free once you have been linked to hm.church.
RENEWING YOUR BLUE CARD
If you already hold a Blue Card, you can renew it online.
STEP 1 — RENEW BEFORE YOUR CURRENT CARD EXPIRES
It is important to complete your renewal before the expiry date on your current card.
If you renew before expiry, your existing organisation links — including your link to hm.church — remain in place while your renewal is processed.
If your card expires before you renew, the existing organisation links are removed and hm.church will need to create a new link after your new card is approved.

STEP 2 — LOG IN AND COMPLETE YOUR RENEWAL
Have your TMR CRN available and follow the online renewal process.
During the renewal you will be able to confirm the organisations you are currently linked with.
Please ensure hm.church remains listed if you are continuing to volunteer with us.
